Rain Forest Cafe

Well Ricky and I had never been to Rain Forest Cafe, So needless to say we had no idea what we were in for. We walk in and look around the nice store till our name was called. Very nice inside, love the atmosphere. We sat down and not even 5 mins after we sat down the thunder and flickering of the lights and all the animals were going nuts. Well our 2 yr old was not having it. It was freaking out, crying and shaking like a leaf. I felt so bad for him that Ricky and I decided we should probably just leave. Well we tried another seat away from the gorillas and moved over to the elephants, well he likes elephants. But not these ones, they started moving also and he said, "NO,mommy,down...I wanna go bye bye." So we proceeded to leave again. Well we walked through the bar and it was empty except for another family with scared children. So away from all the animals and lightening we sat next to a big window. Anthony was happy there, So we had a good lunch!!

Memorial Weekend

Ricky and I decided we wanted to adventure up to Moody Gardens on this beautiful Sunday! So we loaded up the kids and we went. AJ had a good time looking at all the fish and sharks. He loved everything, as soon as he saw one thing he was ready to move on to something else. He was so excited.

Dallas weekend #3

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!
Well the Villarreal clan ventured up to Dallas again this past weekend.
Friday we went to see the Astros loose, I mean play against the Rangers.
It was a great game untill the 7th inning. But we had a good time. Ricky's cousin and his wife and son were there and Brandon came out as well. It was a very nice night for a ballgame!!
Then Sat. the reason we went back to Dallas was because we had a wedding to go to. Ricky's friend Claire got married Sat. We have both known her since 7th grade. Very beautiful wedding! Congrats to Claire and Derrick!!!
Then after the wedding we drove back home so we could have Sunday to work in the yard and just hang out!!!

Donzi

Well I am sad today, I feel like I have lost a loved one. We got rid of Donzi today. For those of you who didn't know Donzi he was our Greyhound we had for 4 yrs. We got rid of him because he bit AJ in the face. I'm very sad we had to give him up but it was for the best. He was a very good dog, that was the last thing we thought he would do was bite. AJ and him played well together. We have had people ask why we are getting rid of him and why we let AJ play rough with him. Well to answer your questions. One we never let AJ play rough with him. AJ is 2 and he knew to pat pat Donzi. Donzi is getting old and is set in his ways...remember we got Donzi when he was already 4 yrs. So I guess he go aggravated. Two never ever should a family pet bite a child. No matter what the situation. You bite your gone. I love Donzi dearly but he bit AJ so he had to go. It may have been something minor but what about the next time, it could really be bad then I would be mad at myself for keeping him and putting my child in harms way. But you know everyone is different. Ricky and I thought this was best for our family and now we are moving on.
We will miss you Donzi!!

Mother's Day 08!!

I hope all you Mother's had a great Mother's Day!!
I know I did! The kids got me tulips and we went to Lunch!
I got some new running shoes as well and I can't wait to try them out!!
All in all it was a very nice day. Spent it well with my kiddos and Ricky!!

Anthony is 2

Well my baby boy just turned 2 on the 9th!!!
We had a party for him this past weekend. Some of his friend's and cousin's came over to celebrate with him. He was outside all day...no nap!! He had bubbles everywhere and a moonwalk to jump in, he was in heaven. Ricky and I were saying how much he has grown up. We can actually hold a conversation with him now and understand him. It's amazing what he knows. We are so proud of him. He got alot of new and fun toys and lots of clothes for his Birthday. Now I need to go through his toys and get rid of the old (yes fun for me) After everyone left sat. he ate dinner and he passed out in his high chair!! Poor guy was wore out.

Dallas Weekend #2

Well we made it back from Dallas!
We had a really good weekend. Sat morning Ricky got up at 5:45am to head out for his first day of the Sam's MS150 from Frisco to Fort Worth. It was a little chilly out. We made a trip to Walmart to get something warm to wear for the kids, myself, and my mom. We were dressed like it was 80 degrees out. Not knowing it was windy and 58 degrees out that morning. Later that morning my mom and I got the kiddos ready to go to the zoo. Plus we had to pack up everything to move to another hotel later that evening. We drove all over the Dallas area all weekend. I think we saw every part of the city in 3 days!!
The zoo was fun, we meet up with Ricky's cousin's wife and their son. Anthony enjoyed it. He didn't like the Gorillas one bit! (They are kind of scary looking) We did get a work out that day. I dunno if you have been to the Dallas zoo but it is not stroller friendly....haha! There are hills that seam like mountains. But all in all we had a good time.
Ricky finished Saturday at about 1:30 or so. We picked him up at Texas Motor Speedway. He was very tired...I would be too after riding 90 miles!
Later that night we all went to dinner with his cousin and his family, and also meet up with a buddy of Ricky's from HS that he hasn't talked to in 2 yrs. It was a nice night.
Sunday morning I got up with Ricky at 5:45am to get him to the Speedway by 6:20am so he could finish his last 70 miles to the finish. I saw him off and went to get the kiddos and myself ready to go see daddy finish his 2nd MS150 in 4 weeks!!!!
So my mom and I got everything and everyone ready to go. We got to the finish Line at 11:00am. We saw some people coming through already as we arrived. It was an amazing sight just to see these people finish such a big ride! I myself can't wait to do it next year!! I can only imagine what they are feeling as they cross the Finish Line...many emotions I'm sure!
We waited for Ricky to come through....AJ was having fun looking for daddy and playing with his Uncle B. Finally at about 1:30 here comes Ricky!! AJ said Go Daddy Go!!!
We are so proud of him for finishing knowing how bad his knees hurt and how tired he was. Plus the course wasn't rider friendly so I hear. But he finished with a smile.
After lunch we loaded up and headed back to Houston. Everyone was exhausted even the kiddos.
But it was a Great weekend!! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as well.

Dallas weekend

Well the kiddos are BOTH asleep!!!!!
Considering I am running on 2 1/2 hrs of sleep today. My fumes are running out!
Annabel decided she wanted to get up at 2:30 this morning and play all night. Mommy wasn't up for playing that early but Annabel is the boss!! So here it is 2:30pm and I am still up.
We are off to Dallas this weekend so Ricky can ride in the Dallas MS150. He has riding on the brain these days and is doing great!!!
So that leaves me with the kiddos all weekend while he is riding. But my mom is going with, so it should make things easier. We are going to take Anthony to the Dallas Zoo tomorrow and make it an all day event. Then meet up with Ricky for Dinner after his ride. Then Sunday we will see Ricky off again and we will wait for him at the Finish Line!!!
